Youth Baseball and Hot Rods Today at Pioneer Park

firecracker rod run 2014 DF photoFerndale’s Pioneer Park is the place to be with the Firecracker Rod Run and the Cal Ripken 12U 2015 State Tournament going on today.

The 30th Annual Firecracker Rod & Motorcycle Run is happening from 8am until 3pm. Over 40 trophies will be given away as well as raffle prizes. Rod Run activities include “Shew-N-Shine,” Dash Plagues and a Poker Walk.

Ferndale Kiwanis will be there serving up hot dogs, soda, and chips for lunch or an afternoon snack. Proceeds will go towards supporting Kiwanis community programs.

cal ripken baseball fiOn the other side of the park in the sports complex the Cal Ripken 12U State Tournament is in the third of four days of great baseball games. Two local teams are playing in the tournament alongside 6 teams from all over the state.

Games start at 10am, 1:30pm and 4pm today.

  • North Olympic 17 – Whatcom Nationals 4
