Whatcom County Health Department today announced recipients of the annually issued Silver Platter Awards for 2016.
Award winners in the Ferndale area were:
* Barb’s Pies & Pastries
* Domino’s Pizza – Ferndale location
* Maggie’s Pub (recently closed)
* Papa Murphy’s – Ferndale location
The award is given to dining establishments that achieve outstanding scores during routine food safety inspections throughout the year.
The Health Department said in their announcement only about 3.5% of dining establishments licensed in 2016 met the criteria established by the health department for the Silver Platter Award.
