A second car crash within 4 hours in downtown Ferndale resulted in another driver being taken away by ambulance.

According to Ferndale Police Lieutenant Matt Huffman, police officers responded to a report of a crash at 3rd Avenue and Main Street about 9pm last night, Tuesday. After investigating, it was determined an Oldsmobile van had been heading east on Main Street and a Honda Civic heading west. The Honda attempted to turn left onto 3rd Avenue and collided with the van in the intersection. Huffman said the van’s headlights were not on and the Honda did not see the van resulting in the crash.

The driver of Honda was transported to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center for treatment of cuts to their hand and a possible head injury.
